Raybon, Stansberry Chosen as CollegeSwimming.com All-Americans

SOMERS, Wis. – CollegeSwimming.com has announced its Division II All-Americans for 2016 and two Carson-Newman swimmers were among the choices. Lexy Raybon was selected for the 200 butterfly and Margaret Stansberry was picked for the 100 and 200 freestyle.

"This is a huge accomplishment, both for Lexy and Margaret individually and for our program," Head Swimming Coach Jordan Taylor said. "It's indicative of the progress Carson-Newman swimming has made in just a few years. Lexy and Margaret both worked really hard to earn this honor and we're thrilled for them."

During the 2015-16 season, Lexy Raybon (Sarasota, Fl) was an All-American for her efforts in the 800m free relay. She's also been a two-time honorable mention All-American in the 200 fly and the 400 free relay. She won five events over the course of the season and has set school record in the 200 fly, 500 free and the 800 free relay.

Stansberry became the first member of the C-N swimming program to be a three-time All-American honoree during the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. She earned recognition for the 100 and 200 free and the 800 free relay. She was also an Honorable Mention All-American after finishing 12th in the 200 medley. Stansberry, who's a sophomore, has set six school records during her time with the Eagles.

Raybon and Stansberry are the first swimmers in the history of the program to be named preseason All-Americans.
