    WINGATE, N.C. – The sixth-seeded Carson-Newman Eagles (27-7) lost 21-25, 22-25 and 14-25 to the No. 2 seed Armstrong Pirates (30-2) in the Southeast Region semifinal Friday evening at Cuddy Arena. It marks the third time in program history that the Eagles have made it to the Regional semifinals as one of the top 32 teams in the nation.

    Shoot, it’s hard to know where to begin with this week. Actually it’s hard enough to focus considering the past 48 hours we have been through! But this season, more than any other has proven that we can do anything we put our minds to. The beginning seems like a blur because we were so excited to get to the SAC tournament it was hard to focus on anything else! We made it into our conference tournament (last time being 2011) as the second seed. And with that, we headed through the mountains to Hickory, North Carolina where Lenoir-Rhyne hosted.
