Carson-Newman’s Robert Hill Named South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman College’s Robert Hill has been named South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. Hill wins the award for the first time in his career as an Eagle.

In South Atlantic Conference action Saturday against Wingate, Hill scored all three of C-N’s goals en route to a 3-1 victory. It was the first time during the 2009 season that a Carson-Newman player has registered three goals in a match.

The Middlesbrough, England native leads the Eagles with nine goals and 21 points on the season including two match-winners.

Carson-Newman is 8-3-1 on the year with a 5-1-0 mark in league play, placing the team atop the standings with 15 points.

The SAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week is voted on by the staff of the league office.
