Frost garners second WePlayed Sports SAC Pitcher of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second time this season, senior pitcher Emma Frost (Morristown, Tenn.) has been named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Frost tallied three wins in the circle in the last seven days, including two on Saturday in Carson-Newman's first sweep of Lenoir-Rhyne in Jefferson City since 2002.

Frost struck out 15 in 15.2 innings pitched.  She gave up one hit in a Tuesday win against Milligan while striking out three.  She wrapped up the weekend with a pair of three-hit, six-K performances against Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Morristown-native's WHIP for the week was 0.45 and she had a 1.79 ERA.  Frost's 15 strikeouts came without issuing a walk.

Frost and the rest of the Eagles will be on display Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the SAC Championship opening round against sixth-seeded Newberry. Coverage will be available on the Eagle Sports Network at cneagles.com/live.
