Dye named TSWA Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Carson-Newman softball junior outfielder Hayden Dye has been named the Tennessee Sportswriters Association State Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Dye helped C-N to a 3-1 week last week.  She hit .500 for the week with six RBI and three home runs.

Dye did the bulk of her damage against Kentucky State on Feb. 25 when she drilled home runs in three consecutive plate appearances.

Dye finished with 13 total bases for the week.

The Powell product is the first Eagle to earn TSWA Player of the Week honors since Macauley Bailey won the award in consecutive weeks in her freshman campaign in 2023 on March 13 and 20.

This is Dye's first career player of the week honor.
