LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has released its Player/Pitcher of the Year Watchlists featuring C-N's Hayden Dye (Knoxville, Tenn.) and SieAnna Cameron (Alcoa, Tenn.), the NFCA office announced on Thursday.
Dye has emerged as one of the South Atlantic Conference's top bats, ranking second in the batting average (.475) and eighth in RBI (37). Dye has tallied four multi-hit efforts and three multi-RBI games in her last ten games.
Cameron leads the league in batting average (.488) despite being sidelined since March 8th. The Alcoa native has 16 multi-hit efforts in 24 starts, including stretches of four and five consecutive games with multiple hits. Cameron also has eight multi-RBI days.
The Eagles are joined in the southeast region watchlist by other SAC members, with Tusculum's Megan Ackerman, Danielle Jason, Brooke Smith, Catawba's Kary Hales, and Lincoln Memorial's Halle Grace Patton.
Dye, Cameron, and the Eagles will look to produce in a pair of road contests at UVA Wise on Saturday in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
