Knoxville native Sean Robinson added to baseball staff

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Baseball head coach Tom Griffin announced that Sean Robinson has been added to the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

"I am very happy to have Sean join our staff," Griffin said. "He is very familiar with our program and what our expectations are.  He has been around good baseball people and we look forward to seeing his growth now as a coach."

Last season, Robinson compiled a 3.72 ERA while yielding a .237 batting average against. In his career, the hurler worked 161 innings tallying a 4.63 ERA with 106 strikeouts and 41 walks.

Robinson graduated from Milligan College with a degree in business administration. The Knoxville, Tenn. native attended Central High School.

The baseball team has begun fall practice after three weeks of individual workouts that included lifting and conditioning. Parents will get to enjoy festivities during parents' weekend taking place October 4-6.

Griffin's group will scrimmage each Friday, Saturday and Sunday capped by the Orange and Blue World Series October 12-17.
