Baseball's season ends with cancellation against Shorter

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Wednesday's Carson-Newman baseball game against the Shorter Hawks has been cancelled due to a consistent line of thunderstorms near Mossy Creek.

The Eagles' season comes to a close with the cancellation of the contest as Carson-Newman finishes 21-25 on the season.

Head coach Tom Griffin and company bid farewell to seniors Pitcher Dustin Dunagan (Winder, Ga.), second basemen Peter Rajkovich (Stockton, Calif.), infielder Trace Rogers (Simsponville, S.C.), reliever Josh Russell (Bradenton, Fla.), reliever Daniel Sharp (Johnson City, Tenn.), pitcher Brandon Timmerman(Seymour, Tenn.) and reliever Lucas Watson (Gatlinburg, Tenn.).

In 2015, the Eagles will return all but one of their top ten hitters and bring back four pitchers who threw at least 30 innings this season.
