Carson-Newman football set for social media takeover

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – In conjunction with Carson-Newman football's media day Aug. 18, Carson-Newman football players will take over many of the athletic department's social media accounts.

The social media takeover will feature utility player Goose Manning (Chattanooga, Tenn.), who will have the keys to the @CNathletics Twitter account.  Offensive lineman Dan Gallman (Naples, Fla.) will handle the @CNathletics Instagram feed, while first team All-SAC safety Jerry Miclisse (Homestead, Fla.) will take over the brand new CNathletics Snapchat account.

Eagle fans are advised to follow all three accounts to experience media day through the trio's eyes.

Fans can keep up with the players'… shenanigans throughout the day on Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #CNFBtakesover.

Carson-Newman volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and cross country will also take over the C-N athletics social media accounts throughout the month of August.

Carson-Newman opens up its season Sept. 3 against the University of the Cumberlands at 7 p.m.  Coverage of that game will be available on the Eagle Sports Network on Joy 620 (WRJZ-AM, Knoxville), Mountain Country 106.3 (WPFT-FM, Sevierville) and online with a free high definition stream at cneagles.com/live.
