Tennessee coaches Jones and Barnes to headline Carson-Newman Football Coaching Clinic

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman head football coach Ken Sparks has announced that University of Tennessee football coach Butch Jones and men's basketball coach Rick Barnes will headline the annual Carson-Newman Football Championship Coaching Clinic in early March.

"I know what people think," Sparks said. "'Ken's getting older and slowly losing his mind bringing a basketball coach to a football coaching clinic.'  They might be right.  But Rick is one of the best coaches I've ever met in how you treat someone from a relational standpoint.  What he will talk about is applicable to any sport, no matter the size or shape of the ball.  We're very grateful that he will be presenting as well as Coach Jones and the rest of our all-star cast. "

Carson-Newman football's annual coaching clinic has been set for March 4-6 at the Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Attendees should make reservations with the Music Road Hotel at  1-800-429-7700 FREE or email resv@musicroadhospitality.com.  A credit card will hold the room; it will not be charged until after the clinic.  Please reference the Carson-Newman Coaching Clinic when making reservations.

Call  865-471-3466 to sign-up.  The cost is 40 dollars per couple (coach and wife pre-registered).
