GREENVILLE, Tenn.—The No. 10 Barry University men's soccer team moved to a perfect 4-0 after defeating the Carson-Newman Eagles 2-1 on Sunday to wrap up their road-trip up north.
The Eagles fall to 1-3 on the season.
The Bucs struck first when Guilherme Oliveira served up a pass to Kendall Sealy who was able to finish to give Barry a 1-0 lead.
Carson-Newman tied the score at the 34 minute mark off the leg of Robert Hill, the team's leading scorer thus far.
The Bucs out-shot the Eagles 8-2 in the second period, but it wasn't until the 84th minute that Mark Anderson was able to break the 1-1 tie, putting home a deflection in the box.
The goal was the senior's eight on the year and second game winner in the tournament.
Carson-Newman returns to action on Saturday in its South Atlantic Conference opener. The Eagles host Brevard College at 5 p.m.
