JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - A prodigious amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours has rendered the River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club unplayable. As such, Carson-Newman's annual Eagle Club Golf Classic has been postponed.

A make up date of June 28th has been tentatively set for the Sevierville event.  Anyone who was registered for the event will remain registered for the new tentative date of June 28. Refunds will be given to any parties requesting them, however, individuals can receive credit for a tax-deductible gift if they choose to allow the Eagle Club to retain their registration fee.  Individuals who need a refund should contact Lauren Lovell at llovell@cn.edu. 

This postponement does mean that registration for the Sevierville event remains open, and will remain open until tee time on the 28th.  

The postponement does not impact the scheduled tour events in Chattanooga or Kingsport.  

June takes the tour to Chattanooga, Tenn. at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay for an event on the seventh.  In July, the event is set for July 26 at Cattails at MeadowView Golf Course in Kingsport.   

Individual entry for all tournaments is 175 dollars. Single registration places players in a scramble, while an entire foursome can join for 700 dollars. 

Each registrant receives breakfast during registration, a Carson-Newman gift pack, eligibility for door prize drawings, green fees and a golf cart, plus a lunch post tournament.

Corporate, hole and cart sponsorships are also available. 

There is also a $30 entry for putting contests. Putting contest prizes will be C-N items and exclusive drawing includes vacation stays and exclusive memorabilia
