ANDERSON, S.C. – Carson-Newman Men's Tennis fell in its penultimate contest on the road against Anderson.
Carson-Newman (9-7, 6-5 South Atlantic Conference) fell 4-0 on the road to Anderson (14-8, 6-6 SAC) in its second to last contest of the season.
The Trojans took singles victories on Courts No. 2-4 with Court No. 1 and Courts No. 5-6 going unfinished. Matthew Saunders (Ballyclare, NI, United Kingdom) and Leonard Baecker (Pliezhausen, Germany) had each won a set in their singles contests before the Trojans found the match-clinching match point.

No. 6: Reddy Dandapoojith (AU) vs. Leonard Baecker (C-N) 4-6, 2-4, unfinished
Anderson took the doubles point with Court No. 3 pairing of Boris Jordanov and Keegan Nelson leading 4-3 before the Trojans clinched it.

Carson-Newman finishes the regular season on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Newberry on the road. After the match against the Wolves, the Eagles have a date in Sumter, S.C. for the SAC Men's Tennis Tournament. If the season ended today it would be projected to face Lincoln Memorial, a team it fell to 4-1 on the road earlier this season.
