ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coming off of two of the best performances of her career, Haris Price was tabbed the South Atlantic Conference's Player of the Week Monday by the league office.
"We are down to single digit games left," Price said. "I think we keep talking about that. It's not just one game at a time. It's one possession. I think playing hard every possession has been what we are doing."
It is the fifth time in the senior's career that she has earned conference weekly honors doing so for the second time this year. No player in the SAC has more honors over the last two campaigns.
The Gatlinburg, Tenn. native averaged 31.5 points, 7.5 rebounds while tallying eight assists and nine steals in wins over Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne. She went 23-for-39 from the field connecting on six of her 12 three-point attempts adding an 11 of 13 effort at the charity stripe.
Price opened the week helping the Lady Eagles take down Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday night. The guard produced her first-career collegiate double-double with a game-high 19 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, six steals and four assists.
She followed that effort by erupting for a career-high 44 points in an 89-81 win at Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday. The last time a Lady Eagle scored 40 was on Feb. 22, 1979 or 790 games and 14,592 days ago when Data Caldwell scored a school record 47 points against LeMoyne-Owen on Feb. 22, 1979. The 44-point effort for Price is tied for the fifth-highest tally among Division II players on the season.

Overall, the Gatlinburg, Tenn. native went 16-for-26 from the field with four triples and eight foul shots in nine attempts adding five rebounds, four assists and three steals. With the scoring she moved her named to 12th on the school's scoring list passing Zoriah Williams and Kailyn Brooks and bringing her total to 1,212.
The All-American has stepped her game up against conference opponents scoring 23 points per night shooting 55 percent from the field and making 46 percent from long range.
After the week, Price ranks second in the SAC in scoring average for the season with 18.9 per contest, ranking second in field-goal percentage (52.8) and four in steals per game (2.3).
Price is in the top 10 on the school's assists list, 309, at 10th and three-pointers made, 117, sitting in eighth, three shy of moving up the charts.
