Kinnie, Watts finish third in Four-Ball Championship

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Sophomores Reagan Kinnie and Rachel Watts finished the 22nd Tennessee Women's Four-Ball Tournament at Lookout Mountain Golf Club on Wednesday with an overall third place finish.

The C-N women's golf duo shot a round of 73 in the opening round on Tuesday to finish out the day tied in fourth-place at two-over par. Their third-place title pushed them to finishing second in their division.

Women's golf coach Suzanne Strudwick expect this finish to resonate with the rest of the team.

"This was an excellent way to start their sophomore year at C-N," Strudwick said of the pair. "I am thrilled at all the players returning as I know they have worked hard this summer. This result will be a great confidence boost for the whole team."

Kinnie appeared in all four events for the team last fall, including a second-place finish at the King Intercollegiate. She ended her freshman campaign with a 79.6 stroke average. For Watts, she participated in every C-N golf event except for one with three tournaments in the fall as an individual.
