BRADENTON, Fla. – Improving each round of the Rollins Legend, Carson-Newman women's golf finished its fall slate with a fourteenth-place finish.
The Eagles wrap up with the fall slate with a 306-team score in the final round. C-N improved their team score in each round of the Rollins Legend.
C-N's best score in the final round came from sophomore Caroline Nemes. She posted a 4-over 75 in her final round of the fall season. Her lone birdie of the round came on hole 7, a 340-yard par four.
The Eagles best finish for the tournament came from Ellie Haughton. She finished the tournament tied for 30th. The junior completed the fall with a 5-over 76. The round included two birdies, five bogeys, and one double bogey.
Graduate student Maeve Cummins followed in behind Haughton with a 5-over 76 to finish her fall season. Cummins was plagued by a triple bogey made on hole five, a 373-yard par four. Like Haughton, she also recorded two birdies on the day to finish the event in a tie for 35th.
C-N's fourth best score of the final round came from graduate student Hannah Holland. She carded a 8-over 79 to complete the fall season. Her one birdie of the round came on her third hole of the day, a 438-yard par five.
Senior Aynsleigh Martin scored an 88 in the final round. She made six pars and one birdie in the round, scoring a 44 on each nine.
The Eagles were the fifth best team on the Par 3s over the course of the three rounds.
Lynn Unversity won the Rollins Legend with a 868 team score in the three rounds played. Dallas Baptist University entered the day with the lead but had eight more strokes than Lynn to slide into a second place finish.
Nova Southeastern's Ellen Anderson won the individual title, carding a 3-under 68 in the final round. For the tournament, she was even par. The next two closest golfers finished at 3-over par for the tournament.
