JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Senior CJ Jensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) has been named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Gold  Female Swimmer of the Week after her performance in C-N's dual-meet against Wingate on Nov. 14th in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Jensen was the victor in three individual events, winning the 200-yd IM in 2:06.56, the 200-yd butterfly in 2:04.83, and the 400-yd IM with a time of 4:30.60. Jensen also was a part of the winning 200-yd medley relay who won in 1:48.01.

"This honor is definitely something I appreciate. Our conference is definitely strong with constant strong performances, so to have this honor, means a lot." Jensen said. "I'm proud to have this honor alongside Manon. She had some impressive swims against Wingate and she deserves the honor."

Jensen was a pivotal part of the Eagles staying pace with the Bulldogs throughout the meet, although the women's team was eventually defeated by a team score of 175-140. The Bulldogs were able to beat the Eagles, giving them the team's first home loss in 755 days, when the Bulldogs took the victory over the Eagles in the 2018 season.

It is the first time in Jensen's career that she has received the honor. Jensen and the Eagles continue the season at the Wingate Winter Fest Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. from December 17th-19th.

"I hope our team can keep up our hard work heading into our next meet," Jensen said. "I know this next meet will give us a challenge, but I know we're ready and I'm excited for this competition."

Along with Jensen being named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference (Gold) Female Swimmer of the Week, sophomore Manon Compagner (Balkburg, The Netherlands) was named Bluegrass Mountain Conference (Silver) Female Swimmer of the Week.
