From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Upset of the Year. Friday, we'll unveil the fall nominees for Comeback of the Year.
The 11th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 30 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Women's Basketball v. #23 Wingate: Taking down a ranked team for the ninth straight season, Mincey's squad did so in dominant fashion with a 93-64 victory. C-N led from start to finish to take down the number 23 team in the country. The Lady Eagles put it away early, leading by 29 points at halftime. The lead grew as large as 42, before a late Bulldogs run made the margin the same as it was at intermission. Carson-Newman won every key statistical category and shot an impressive 50% from the field. Lindsey Taylor (Maryville, Tenn.) and Braelyn Wykle (Greeneville, Tenn.) combined to score 39 points on 17-27 shooting to lead the way.
Men's Soccer v. West Alabama: Carson-Newman scored twice in three minutes and used stellar defending to defeat future NCAA tournament bound West Alabama in the season opener on Sept 1st. Mitchell Honcoop (Nieuw-Vennep, Netherlands) and Harry Whitehead (Oxford, England) scored the goals for C-N.The season-opening win saw C-N goalkeeper Federico Simonetti (Crema, Italy) make nine saves to shut out the Tigers. Six of those ten saves came in the first half, with four coming in the opening 20 minutes of action.
