    ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Carson-Newman Eagles are the No. 5 seed in the 2011 Food Lion Sout Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament and will face rival Lincoln Memorial University on Tuesday in Harrogate, Tenn. The Eagles will face the No. 4-seeded Railsplitters at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The winner will advance to the tournament semifinals and then the championship match then taking place at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. on Nov. 4 and 6.

A header on a rebound from Tyson Adkinson in the 93rd minute was the deciding goal as C-N closed out its 2011 home schedule on a high note.

    MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions' men's soccer team and SAC rival Carson-Newman College battled to a 0-0 draw Wednesday night in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. The Lions are now 9-4-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the SAC. The Eagles took their season record to 4-8-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in the league.

    GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman Eagles dropped a 1-0 decision on Friday night to Nova Southeastern in a neutral site contest played on the Tusculum College campus. Nova’s James Pucci scored the game’s lone goal in the 98th minute to give NSU a 1-0 win. Pucci put a free kick by C-N’s Mikey Alley (Kingsport, Tenn.)from 21 yards out to give the Sharks the win.

The Buffaloes got a pair of first-half goals from Nahom Tekle as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead at intermission. Carson-Newman tried to rally in the second half, but was unable to make up the difference.
