C-N Men’s Soccer Receives Votes in Preseason NSCAA Poll

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – The Carson-Newman men's soccer team has received votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Preseason Top 25 Poll.

This comes following a year in which the squad finished 15-3-2, earned a share of the South Atlantic Conference regular season title and appeared in the NCAA tournament for the ninth time in school history. They also placed a school record nine players on the All-SAC teams.

During 2015, the Eagles rose as high as No. 13 in the NSCAA rankings.

The only other SAC team to receive votes in the poll was Wingate, who came in at No. 18. The Bulldogs are coming off a season that saw them share the regular season SAC title with Carson-Newman and win the league tournament for a second straight year.

Carson-Newman starts off 2016 at McCown Field on September 3rd with a match-up against Lees-McRae.
