Hannah Holland cards second top-ten finish of the year at Lady Bearcat Invitational

GREENWOOD, S.C. - Hannah Holland moved up eight spots on the final day of the Lady Bearcat Invitational to finish tied for fifth overall.

The sophomore carded an even-par 72 in the final round to finish the week with a four-over 148. Holland carded three birdies on her first five holes of the final round, shooting one-under on the front nine. 

It is Holland's first top-ten finish since finishing seventh at the 2021 Jekyll Island Intercollegiate.

As a team, the Eagles finished seventh, shooting a 20-over 308 for the second straight round, finishing with a 40-over 616 at the Greenwood Country Club. C-N finished above host Lander and SAC foes Tusculum, Queens, Coker, and Catawba. Lee won the team championship, shooting a 25-over 601. 

Maeve Cummins did the most movement of any Eagle, moving up 14 spots after shooting a two-over 74 in round two. The Waringstown, Northen Ireland native parred 16 of her 18 final holes, finishing the week with an eight-over score of 152. 

Ashley Holland finished tied for 32nd after shooting a nine-over 81 in the second round. The younger Holland sister birdied her first and last holes of the final round, but double bogeyed the sixth and tenth holes. She finishes the tournament with a thirteen-over 157.

Caroline Nemes and Ellie Haughton finished tied for 41st with 15-over 159s after both Eagles shot a nine-over 81 on the final day. Nemes carded birdies on the first and 14th holes of the day, while Haughton birdied on the fourth and 18th hole. 

Megan Robb of Lenoir-Rhyne won the individual championship with a one-under 143.
