Two Eagles Earn All-Conference Selections Following Impressive Campaign

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Following a regular season in which C-N more than doubled its win total from a year ago, two Eagles earned all-conference selections among the SAC's top talent.

Headlining C-N in singles is Natasha Forrest, who joined the all-conference third team. In her senior season, Forrest was effective in both the No. 1 and 2 spots, posting a 12-11 overall record with a 5-7 mark in SAC play. Forrest started the season 2-1 in the No. 2 spot before transitioning to No. 1 for three matches, posting a 1-2 record in that stretch. After two matches back at No. 2, Forrest played the next five at the No. 1 position, earning back-to-back wins against Emory & Henry and UVA-Wise. Forrest posted a 4-5 record at No. 1 and a 4-3 record at No. 2, playing an integral role in the Eagles' success.

Forrest also made the all-conference doubles team, joined by teammate Summer Reeves on the all-conference second-team. The Eagles' top duo led the way with a 13-10 record, posting a 9-3 mark in conference play. After dropping an early conference match at Catawba, the two settled in, winning seven of their last nine, including two wins against ranked teams in No. 45 Anderson and No. 37 Tusculum. In the match against the Pioneers, C-N's pairing took care of business against TU's second-team duo of Elodie Baechler and Valentina Loretz, winning the match 6-1.

Forrest and Reeves' success on the court helped the Eagles to a 68-65 singles record, going 36-31 in SAC play while garnering a 36-34 doubles record with a 24-11 record in conference play. Forrest and Reeves' efforts helped the Eagles to ten wins and more than double their four wins from a season ago, propelling C-N to an 8-4 SAC record and a 5th place finish.

The Eagles will look to take the momentum from a successful regular season into conference tournament play. They will square off with 5th-seeded Tusculum on Tuesday at 2 PM at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina, looking to avenge their loss earlier in the season.
