NORMAN, Okla. – Thanks to a third-place finish at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, Carson-Newman has jumped six spots up the national rankings to No. 15 in the newest edition of the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll that was released on Friday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The latest move marks the second-highest ranking the Eagles have seen in the poll this season after sitting at No. 8 in the list on Nov. 28, 2018. This is also the fourth time this season that they have landed in the top 20 of the GCAA rankings since. The last time they made it in the range was on Oct. 19, 2018 when they were listed as No. 20 in the nation. The Eagles fell out of the top 25 after that week, not returning to the list until March 8 when they found a spot at No. 21.

C-N is also ranked 15th in the Golfstat national poll, as released on Wednesday. It has maintained that position for back-to-back weeks.

Coach Randy Wylie's group has strung together four-straight top-three finishes this year, holding an adjusted scoring average of 72.69.

Joining the Orange and Blue in the GCAA poll from the South Atlantic Conference is No. 8 Lincoln Memorial.

The regular season finale is on tap for the Eagles as they head to the Tennessee River Rumble on Monday and Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament will be played at the WindRiver Golf Club in Lenoir City, Tenn.
