INDIANAPOLIS – In the second lot of spring rankings from Golfstat, Carson-Newman has found its way back in the top 25 of the nation, sitting at No. 20.

This marks the first time since April 2018 that the Eagles are in the top 20 of Golfstat's rankings.

Carson-Newman opened the second half of the season with a third-place finish at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate last week. Overall, the Orange and Blue were 31-over par, just four shots out of the lead.

Senior Jake Headrick (Maryville, Tenn.) and junior Tom Forster (Oundle, England) led the Eagles in the event, tying for 11th on the leaderboard.

Forster currently sits at 16th in the nation in terms of D-II players, according to Golfstat, with a 71.49 scoring average.

As a whole, coach Randy Wylie's group holds an adjusted scoring average of 79.40 on the year with one tournament win that came at the Cougar Invitational back in late September.

C-N is one of two South Atlantic Conference teams in Golfstat's top 25, the other being Lincoln Memorial at No. 18.

The Eagles hit the links this coming Monday and Tuesday at the Saint Leo Invitational at the Lake Jovita Country Club in Dade City, Fla.
