JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (8-3, 2-1) aims to bounce back tomorrow evening when it travels to Harrogate for a South Atlantic Conference matchup with Lincoln Memorial (8-1, 3-0) at 5:30 p.m. inside Tex Turner Arena.

The Lady Eagles are looking to get back on track and will look to do so on the road, where they are 1-3 this season.

"I will give our team credit," Carson-Newman head coach Mike Mincey said. "We are 1-3 on the road and we've lost to one-loss Georgia Southwestern, two-loss Anderson and then Glenville State, a high pressure team. It's not like we have gone on the road and lost to someone we definitely should beat, we have lost to three pretty good teams. Going to LMU, it's a rivalry game. They have been playing well this year. As always, it will be a tough test."

Breaking the C-N scoring record last time out, Braelyn Wykle (Greeneville, Tenn.) did so in style. The graduate student made ten of her 21 shots, tying her season-high with 28 points and making a season-high six triples. The conference's leading scorer this season is averaging 20.3 points per game and has four 20+ point efforts this season and 61 total in her collegiate career.

The recipe for success this season has been winning the glass. The Lady Eagles are 6-0 this season when they outrebound their opponent. When they don't win the battle on the boards, C-N is 2-3.

With 8 wins so far this season, Mincey brings his career total to 248, two shy of tying Eddie Carter for most wins in program history.

Tomorrow's 94th all-time meeting will be the 42nd matchup in Harrogate, a place where C-N has been successful as of late. The Lady Eagles have won three of the last four games inside Tex Turner Arena. The Railsplitters will look to snap a four-game skid against Carson-Newman. C-N has won four straight games by seven or more. The Lady Eagles lead the all-time ledger 57-36 and are 16-12 under Mincey.

Lincoln Memorial is off to its best start since 2016-17, when the Railsplitters started that season 20-0 before suffering their first loss to begin February. Eight seasons later, Devan Carter has coached the team to an 8-1 start, including five straight victories. Four of the five wins during this streak have come by double-digits. The solid start to the year has LMU tied for first in the SAC with a 3-0 mark. Their 3 league wins have come against Newberry, Wingate and Limestone.

LMU is coming off a dominant 95-54 victory over Southern Wesleyan on New Year's Day, a game that saw Matty Tanner break the school's mark for three-pointers in a game with nine.

Statically, LMU ranks first in the conference and top ten in the country in three-pointers made per game (8.7) and three-point field goals attempted (27.8). It has made at least five 3s in every game this season, with the most in a game being 17, last time out.

Jordan Maney paces three double-figure scorers with 15 points a night. Lauren Flowers and Alexa Smiddy are the two other double-digit scorers at 14 and 11 points per game respectively.

Tipoff from Tex Turner Arena tomorrow evening is set for 5:30 p.m. Broadcast coverage airs on Mountain Talk 106.3 FM and cneagles.com/live starting at 5:15 p.m. with "The AEC Countdown to Tip-Off" courtesy of the Eagle Sports Network.
