Men's basketball postpones final four games of 2020

SAC Return to Play Protocols

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's basketball has postponed its final four games in 2020, contests v. UVA Wise (Dec. 5), at Mars Hill (Dec. 10), v. Limestone (Dec. 12) and v. Anderson (Dec. 16) due to Covid-19 management requirements within the South Atlantic Conference.

Reschedule dates for the games with Mars Hill, Limestone and Anderson will be announced in the future.  The contest with UVA Wise was added in the last seven days and will revert to a SAC game at the Prior Convocation Center on Feb. 10 

Per SAC protocols, if one of the team's due to play in a game receives a positive test in their "inner bubble" then a team is shut down for 14 days. As it stands, the Eagles will target Jan. 6 and a road trip to Tusculum as their return to the floor for the fourth game of the year.  Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in Greeneville. 

At the time of this writing, no Carson-Newman women's games are impacted and Mike Mincey's bunch will tip off against Anderson on Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
