JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Athletic Promotions staff has set promotions for all of C-N football's home games.
The season opener against Edinboro on Sept. 4 has been designated Eagle Pride Day. Carson-Newman students are encouraged to wear their craziest outfits. Students can win prizes for being the "best" dressed – up to 25 dollars.
In partnership with the NCAA, the Mars Hill game has been designated Take a Kid to the Game Day. Entering its 19th year with NCAA Football, the Take A Kid to the Game (TAKG) program provides NCAA member institutions with an opportunity for community outreach as it introduces area youth to its athletics programs. Children can enjoy a variety of activities in conjunction with the game.
Homecoming hits on October 25 when North Greenville comes to town for a 3 p.m. kick with the Eagles. That game will also mark the 50-year reunion of Carson-Newman's 1965 national championship baseball team.
When defending national runner-up Lenoir-Rhyne comes to town, the Eagles will honor the Baptist Builders for their efforts.
Carson-Newman closes out the season on Nov. 15 against Wingate. The game will mark Senior Day, Parents' Day and Military Appreciation Day.
