GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (10-4, 6-3 SAC) heads to Tusculum (5-9, 2-7 SAC) tomorrow for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

"It will be an interesting game with the boys playing against their old coach," Carson-Newman head soccer coach Richard Moodie said, "but we have to treat it like any other game; it is a must win for us."

The Eagles are coming off a big 2-1 win over no. 11 Queens. Nico Noll (Esens, Niedersachsen, Germany) opened the scoring in the 21^st minute off a through ball from Sindre Welo (Trondheim, Norway) to put C-N up by one.

In the 82^nd minute, the Royals tied it up.

In the 90^th minute, SAC Player of the Week Ross Frame (Welshpool, Powys, United Kingdom) scored the winning goal. Nick Skoda (Knoxville, Tenn.) received the ball at left midfield, cut into the center of the field and played the ball across to Jake Fielder (Talbott, Tenn.) at right midfield. Fielder took one touch before playing the ball behind the Royals' defensive line for Frame to finish.

On Sept. 14, the Pioneers lost to Queens 2-3 in double overtime. Queens took the lead in the second minute.

After 17 minutes of action, Tusculum claimed a 2-1 lead. With two minutes left in regular time, the Royals tied it up.

Two minutes into the second overtime, Queens scored for the golden goal win.

Tusculum is coming off a hard 1-0 loss to Coker.

On Oct. 19, Carson-Newman defeated Coker 4-0. Noll scored the first and winning goal in the seventh minute off a ball from Frame. Frame scored the next three goals, two of which were assisted by Noll and one penalty kick.

"We have to put pressure on all the top teams this week," Moodie said, "and win both of our conference games."

Last year, C-N tied the Pioneers 1-1 after two overtime periods. Ryan Odom, no longer at Carson-Newman, scored for the Eagles in the 53^rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. In the 71^st minute, Fredrik Muren tied it up.

Frame currently leads the SAC in assists with nine, and points with 35. He is second in goals with 13 and third in shots taken with 53.

Welo and Fielder are tied for fourth in the SAC with five assists. Noll and center defender Rurik Pereira (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) are both tied for eighth with four assists.

Kristian Speake (Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom) and Noll are tied for 12^th in the conference with 14 points while Welo comes in at 14^th with 13.

Senior captain Rumwald Le Guevel totaled six saves this past week. He is currently second in the SAC with 67 total saves, 4.79 saves per game, and a save percentage of .798.

As a team, Carson-Newman leads the conference in total points with 105, total goals with 34, total assists with 37, scoring offense with 2.43, save percentage of .805, points per game with 7.5, and assists per game with 2.64.

On a national level, the Eagles are ranked fifth in both total assists and assists per game. They are ranked 12^th in points per game, 15^th in total points and 19^th in scoring offense of 188 teams.

"Heading into this game we are looking to get some regional ranking going into the tournament," Moodie said. "Our top goal still is to maintain one of the top four spots in the conference."
