JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Forecasted storms for the Lakeway Region on Thursday have moved up No. 14 Carson-Newman's South Atlantic Conference Spring Championship semifinal match with No. 25 Wingate to a 3 p.m. kickoff from McCown Field.
This is the first SAC semifinal match for head coach Stephen Lyons' group since 2018. In program history, C-N has gone 4-7-2 in the round since 1999.
The top-seeded Eagles and fourth-seeded Bulldogs will be meeting for a 36th time with C-N trailing the all-time series 12-17-9. They have met four times prior in the SAC tournament where Wingate holds a 2-1-1 advantage.
