JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (3-2, 1-0 SAC) returns to the court on Sunday to face off with Limestone (3-4, 1-1 SAC) at 1 PM.
After some time off due to inclement weather, the Eagles have had the opportunity to rest up and prepare for the challenging SAC slate ahead. C-N last took the court ten days ago, earning its first conference victory against Lenoir-Rhyne.
In that match, the Eagles secured the doubles point and took four of six singles matches, clinching the 5-2 victory. C-N will return to action on Sunday, looking for more of the same following an extended break.
The Saints have not had the luxury of a break, playing three matches since the beginning of March. Limestone started the month 2-0, including its first conference win against UVA Wise before dropping its most recent contest against Newberry.
Sunday's match will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two squads, as C-N holds the 3-2 advantage in the all-time series with the Saints. The Eagles have won three straight against the Saints after losing the first two matches, with the most recent result being a 6-1 win in March last year.
The Eagles performed strongly in singles in the 6-1 victory, taking five of the six matches, including wins by Marc Janse, Marnix Van Dalen, and Gjorgi Jankulovski.
C-N will look for more of the same on Sunday at 1 PM.
