No. 30 C-N Listed Under Consideration in First Regional Rankings

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The first Division II regional rankings have been released, with No. 30 Carson-Newman under consideration in the Southeast Region.

The Eagles earned the recognition with a 12-5 record in the regular season and a 10-4 record within the region.

Two opponents from the regular season join the Eagles in the initial southeast region, as Wingate and North Georgia are also featured. C-N saw North Georgia near the beginning of the spring season in a 6-1 loss and faced Wingate late in the year, dropping a hard-fought battle 5-2.

Other teams in the region include Augusta, Barton, Columbus State, Flagler, Lander, Mount Olive, and Young Harris.

With the South Atlantic Conference Tournament still yet to play, the Eagles can improve their standing with a solid showing this week, starting Tuesday against Lenoir-Rhyne at 9 AM in Sumter, South Carolina.
