    JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman volleyball alums Rachel Harper (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Kristen Pickett (Cleveland, Tenn.) and rising juniors Eileen Anderson (Pittstown, N.J.) and Taylor Lowe (Franklin, Tenn.) each won regionals qualifiers to earn a spot in the National Collegiate Sand Volleyball Association’s tournament at the World Series of Beach Volleyball.

    MIAMI, Fla. – For the first time in program history, the Carson-Newman Eagles (1-13) earned a dual victory by defeating Webber International University (2-9) 3-2 Saturday afternoon in the final dual of the Surf ‘n Turf Tournament at the FIU Sand Volleyball Courts. The Eagles dropped a 5-0 decision to sixth-ranked Florida International (15-1) to start the day.

    MIAMI, Fla. – Sara Fairley (Charlotte, N.C.) and Kristen Pickett (Cleveland, Tenn.) provided the Carson-Newman Eagles (0-12) their first ever match victory by defeating Chelsey Tekavec and Alyssa Warren of Florida Atlantic (7-4) 24-22, 15-21 and 15-21.On the first day of the Surf ‘n Turf Tournament hosted by Florida International University, Stanford (4-1) defeated Carson-Newman 5-0 while Florida Atlantic topped the Eagles 4-1 at the FIU Sand Volleyball Courts.
