JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - After poor weather postponed Friday's match with Mercer to Saturday, the Eagles faced a stacked day with three matches on the agenda. To begin the morning, C-N completed the postponed match against Mercer, then followed with a match against LaGrange and closed with another against Mercer.

Carson-Newman went 1-4 against Mercer the first time, swept LaGrange 5-0 and then was swept by Mercer at the end of the day. 

"We showed a lot of growth this weekend, esepecially with our mindset." said head coach Cat Collins. "We made a lot of changes to the lineup and I am proud of the way each pair played this weekend. Our chemistry and communication across all pairs was strong and is something we all build off of this weekend in particular."

Coach Collins made a change to every pair with the exeption of the sixth seed, Paige Bussom and Bennett McCombs. 

The sister duo Trinity and Truth Hafey at the third flight was the only pair to clinch a win against their division 1 opponents. 

Jenny Ille and Camryn Ehlers nearly had a win too, taking their Mercer pair to three sets but falling just two short of the victory.
