Eagles falter on day 2 in Chattanooga

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman finished their weekend in Chattanooga 1-3 after dropping matches against Austin Peay and UTC on day two of the competition.

"I wish we could get this weekend back and do it again because I think the results would be different." said head coach Cat Collins. "We did a lot of great things and at the end of the day just made too many unforced errors at the wrong time. Coming up on the end of our season we have a lot of good competition in front of us. I am confident in the training, abilities, and will to win that these athletes have. I know we can do great things and I'm excited to see us do them."

Despite wins in the third and fourth flights, the Eagles could not clinch a third win against Austin Peay to take the game.

The Eagles were then swept by the hosts of the Shodown, the Chattanooga Mocs.

Jenny Ille and Camryn Ehlers in seed three produced the best record (3-1) of any Eagle pair this weekend.
