Fall Frosty Awards Nominees: Female Newcomer of the Year

From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester.  These are the fall nominees for Female Newcomer of the Year. Sunday, we'll unveil the candidates for Male Newcomer of the Year. 

The 12th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 29 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Female Newcomer of the Year 

Edisa Hot (Tennis): In her first season with C-N, Hot tallied a 10-2 fall season, going 5-1 in both singles and doubles. Made a run to the quarterfinals at the ITA Fall Championships in singles and doubles, joining teammate Leah McBride in the ITA quarterfinals. Hot's only loss in the tournament came in three sets. Coming into the tournament as the 17th overall seed, Hot won three matches en route to her quarterfinal appearance. 

Kylee Oldenburger (Volleyball): The Oldenburger name is one to live up to in Mossy Creek, and Kylee lived up to the hype. After transferring from Upper Iowa University, Kylee appeared in 24 matches in an Eagles uniform, with her best match coming against Emory & Henry in early November, where she collected nine kills and two blocks while hitting over .300.
