From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Male Newcomer of the Year. Monday, we'll unveil the candidates for Coach of the Year.
The 12th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 29 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Male Newcomer of the Year
Grayson Campbell (Football): An All-Mountain Division selection, Campell finished second in the SAC in punting, averaging 42.5 yards per boot. He pinned 14 of his 40 punts inside the 20 to finish second in the league in that regard. Campbell had seven punts longer than 50 yards and a long of 69 yards that forced overtime against Wingate on Sept. 21.
Thomas Lachapelle (Soccer): Lachapelle scored three goals in his first season with the Blue and Orange. He recorded a brace in a 4-2 loss to (RV) Coker on Sept 21. His third goal of the season came late in the year during C-N's 8-0 rout of Newberry on Oct 23.
Cruz Temple (Football): Temple finished third on the team in tackles at his linebacker spot. He tallied 61 stops on the year with 5.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also recovered a fumble. Temple tallied a career-best 10 tackles in the SAC title game against Wingate.
