From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Team of the Year. Friday we'll unveil the candidates for Male Freshman of the Year.
The 12th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 29 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Team of the Year
Football: Carson-Newman football bolted out of the gates on an seven-game winning for the program's best start in 21 years. The Eagles finished the season 9-3, while hoisting the Mountain Division Championship and earning a spot in the NCAA playoffs for a 17th time as a member of the NCAA and a 31st trip to postseason play overall.
Volleyball: The volleyball program finished in a tie for fourth in the SAC standings. The Eagles amassed 16 wins, earning spots in every region ranking before being the first bubble team on the outside looking in for the NCAA tournanent.
Women's Cross Country: The Carson-Newman women's cross country team logged a top five finish at the SAC Championship meet while finishing 12th at the NCAA Southeast Region. Jenna Pittman galavanted her way to All-SAC and All-Region honors.
