LENOIR CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's golf finished 15^th in a tightly packed and competitive field, finishing the Tennessee River Rumble at 44-over as a team.

Elliot MacGregor led C-N, carding a 77 in the final round to tie for 23^rd at 5-over. MacGregor's front nine featured three bogeys, but a birdie and five pars helped him enter the back nine at 2-over. MacGregor had four bogeys on the back nine, but a birdie and four pars finished his round at 5-over.

Nick Daugherty tied for 41^st, stroking a 78 in the third round to finish at 8-over. Daugherty matched a pair of bogeys with two birdies and five pars to enter the back nine at even-par. Three holes over par on the back nine damaged Daugherty's tally, but a birdie and five pars helped him limit the damage and finish at 6-over.

Freshman Stefans Spruzs finished 76^th, delivering a 79 in the third round to finish at 17-over. Spruzs carded two bogeys on the front nine, but a birdie and six pars sent him to the back nine at 1-over. The freshman had six bogeys on the back nine, but three pars helped limit the damage and end his round at 7-over.

Ian Schoonmaker tied for 83^rd, shooting an 82 in the final round to finish at 19-over. Schoonmaker added three strokes on the front nine on four holes over par, but two birdies and three pars helped send him to the back nine at 3-over. Schoonmaker had five holes over par on the back nine, but a pair of birdies and pars cut into the added strokes to finish the round at 10-over.

Owen Larson rounds out the Eagles with a 93^rd-place finish, stroking an 80 in the third round to finish at 23-over. Larson limited the damage of four bogeys with two birdies and three pars, entering the final stretch at 2-over. Five holes on the back nine added a handful of strokes to Larson's total, but a birdie and three pars allowed him to finish the day at 8-over.

C-N closes the regular season next week at the Music City Invitational, heading to the Hermitage Golf Club in Hickory, Tennessee, on Monday and Tuesday for the final event before the SAC Championships.
