JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's starts its 2025 spring season on Monday, traveling south for the Saint Leo Invitational at Lake Jovita Country Club in Dade City, Florida.
The Eagles return to the course after a competitive fall season, facing some of the southeast region's strongest competition.
C-N closed out its fall season at the Currahee Invitational, where Nick Daugherty notched a top-ten finish, powered by a strong 67-stroke second round. Elliot MacGregor saw a 16-spot jump on the final day of action, delivering a 74-stroke third round to finish the event tied for 45th.
The Saint Leo Invitational is familiar to the Eagles, returning to the event after starting the spring season in Dade City in 2024. Sitting in 13th after day one, C-N used a strong third round to jump two spots on the second day.
Nick Daugherty delivered the strongest third round for the Eagles, carding a 69 to help propel the Eagles to the second day jump. The stellar third round shot Daugherty up the leaderboard, moving 22 spots to finish in 46th.
Daugherty is the only active Eagle that saw the course in 2024, but Elliot MacGregor played a role in C-N's third-place finish at the event in 2023, carding a tournament-best 75 in round three.
The tournament features stellar competition, headlined by No. 8 Lee and No. 19 Roilins.
C-N looks to start the season on the right foot, teeing off at Lake Jovite Country Club at 8:30 a.m. Live stats are available at scoreboard.com.
