Beach sweeps the Flames twice on Senior Day

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Despite heavy winds across Mossy Creek, the Carson-Newman Beach team sent their seniors out in style, completing back-to-back 5-0 victories over the Liberty Flames. 

C-N Beach Volleyball recognized their seniors Truth Hafey, Mckenna Hall, and Sierra Still before the matches began. 

In their opening match with the Flames, C-N kept their opponents under 19 points in each set played. Four out of the five seeds defeated their Liberty pairs in two sets a piece.

In the fourth seed, the sister duo Trinity and Truth Hafey held the highest marginal difference between their opponents, winning with scores of 21-13 and 21-14.

The second match of the day looked similar to the first, though all C-N seeds took their games in two sets each. This time Jenny Ille and Camryn Ehlers notched the highest marginal difference of all the seeds with scores of 21-15 and 21-9. Their second set score was the largest win score of the day.

The Eagles will take Easter weekend off then hit the following Friday and Saturday, April 5-6 for the Scenic City Showdown at UTC. They will play matches with Tusculum, Jacksonville State, Austin Peay, and UTC.
