Eagles sweep the panthers, but match 2 postponed due to weather

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - At day one of Mercer's Invitational, the Eagles completed a sweeping victory over LaGrange College but were unable to play their match against Mercer scheduled at 3 pm due to weather complications.

The match with Mercer has been rescheduled for 8 am on Saturday, March 16.

For unknown reasons, LaGrange did not have enough players for all five flights, so they played each pair for two different seeds.

The Eagles had a dominating performance over their competition, allowing LaGrange to score 10+ points in only five out of the 12 sets played.

Jenny Ille and Ava Fountain in the third seed held the highest marginal difference over their opponents, permitting only 11 total Panther points to be scored in the match.
