ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman senior third baseman Sara Kelley (Ooltewah, Tenn.) and senior shortstop Brittany Hefner (Talbott, Tenn.) have been named to the SAC All-Tournament team, the league office announced Monday. 

Hefner and Kelley helped the seventh-seeded Eagles to the third day of the tournament.  C-N picked up wins over Brevard and Tusculum before being eliminated by eventual runner up Wingate.

Kelley batted .500 for the tournament with eight hits, including a double, a triple and a homer. 

Hefner batted .429 but clocked a homer in every game with the exception of the Eagles' tournament-ending game with Wingate. 

They were part of a Carson-Newman lineup that pounded out a tournament best 46 hits.
