From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Female Newcomer of the Year. Wednesday, we'll unveil the candidates for Male Newcomer of the Year.
The 10th annual Frosty Awards will take place May 2 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Female Newcomer of the Year
Carlee Allbaugh (Volleyball): Allbaugh, a Lees-McRae transfer, fit right into the Eagles lineup from day one posting nine double-doubles for the year and leading the team in assists 13 times. Averaging just shy of six helpers per set, the setter tallied a season-high 47 assists with 16 digs in a win at Limestone on Sept. 10. It was one of 11 matches where she racked up at least 20 assists.
Sanne Martinsen (Soccer) After four seasons at Mars Hill, Martinsen was an integral part of C-N's offensive attack this season. The graduate student scored three goals in her 16 games played this season. Her final goal of the season was the game-winning goal in C-N's 2-1 comeback victory over Newberry on Senior Day. The forward fired 15 shots, with six of them going on goal.
