JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman's football program tied a bow on preseason camp while segueing into came week preparations with its annual media day scrimmage.
After feasting on ham and cheese sliders, talking with local media and taking the team picture, C-N divided up into Orange (defense) and Blue (offense) for two-quarter scrimmage, followed by four periods of overtime practice.
C-N's offense scored four times in the two quarters. Tyler Curtis started the scoring with a nine-yard catch off a screen. South Doyle product Nate Adebayo produced the top offensive highlight of the day with a 55-yard rambling run. Grant Haney banged through a 38-yard field goal and Drew Morrison found paydirt on an 11-yard catch.
Defensively, Jetyrreous Jones had the lone forced turnover with a diving interception.
