JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman Football is slated to play host to six camps and clinics in the first week of June.
The camps come in a variety of forms for youth players from elementary school to high school.
ONE-DAY HIGH SCHOOL CAMPS
The camps start June 1 with a one-day camp for rising 9th through 12th graders. The one-day camp runs from 8:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. and costs 45 dollars (before May 18) and 55 dollars after May 18th or as a walk-up.
The Carson-Newman One Day Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level and exhibit their abilities to multiple college coaching staffs. This camp will allow players to be evaluated in multiple drills that will showcase speed, agility, strength, and body size. The one-day camp will provide instruction and an introduction to drill work that can be used throughout the season and off-season.
Campers should bring a football helmet with mouthpiece, cleats, gym shoes and water bottle.
There is a second one-day camp scheduled for June 8.
TEAM-OPTION CAMP
June 3 brings the team-option camp to Burke-Tarr Stadium. The two-day camp starts with a 1 p.m. check in on June 3rd and dismisses at 11:30 on June 4.
The Carson-Newman Option Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level. This camp will focus on the fundamentals using high-repetition drills. Camp sessions will focus on option offensive skills such as footwork, technique, speed, and overall football knowledge. Practices will include but are not limited to, one-on-one instruction, fundamental groups, specific position drills, and competitions. C-N coaches will work to match campers from the same school in the same groups, which will allow an extra three days to build continuity between teammates. The goal is for each participant to leave camp with a larger foundation of the fundamentals used in option offenses.
There are two different price points for the team-option camp.
Overnight Camper: $150 (Includes 3 Practices, lodging for One Night, Meals, and Camp T-Shirt)
Day Camper: $100 (Includes 3 Practices, Meals, and Camp T-Shirt)
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-AGE CAMP

The Carson-Newman One Day Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level with our Carson-Newman Football Staff.This camp is designed to help youth players enhance their knowledge, position-specific skills, and safety techniques by teaching solid fundamentals in an encouraging environment.
The cost to attend is 45 dollars before May 24 and 55 dollars after May 24.
Campers should bring: water bottle, t-shirt, socks, cleats, sneakers, sunscreen, and money for concessions or a light snack. Please mark all belongings.
MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGE CAMP
The one-day camp for rising six through eighth graders is tabbed for June 6 from 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m.

WELCOME TO THE TRENCHES CAMP
Carson-Newman has one final camp for rising ninth through 12th graders.
The Carson-Newman OL/DL Welcome to the Trenches Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level in playing OL/DL. This camp will focus on the fundamentals using high-repetition drills. Camp sessions will focus on footwork, technique, speed, and overall football knowledge. The camp will include but is not limited to, one-on-one instruction, fundamental groups, specific position drills, and competitions. The goal is for each participant to leave camp with a larger foundation of the fundamentals of offensive line and defensive line play along with an opportunity to be evaluated by the coaching staff.
The camp is set for June 7 from 8:30 a.m. til 12:30 p.m.
The cost to attend is 45 dollars before May 24 and 55 dollars after May 24.
