DAHLONEGA, Ga. – After a first round sixth place showing that had its struggles, the Eagles concluded the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational with an 873, good enough for a fourth-place finish on Tuesday.

The team shot a 1-under 287 in the final round after shooting a 287 and 299 on Monday. C-N now has two top-10 finishes to start the 2017 season.

"It was a nice final round for our team today," head coach Randy Wylie said of the team. "Tom Forster shot a very fine 67 and made the All-Tournament team with his finish."

Forster's 5-under outing on Tuesday at the Achasta Golf Club was a team-best. It was also his best performance at the event after shooting a 69 and 75 through the first two rounds. He placed at fifth on the leaderboard with a 211 total.

Freshman Jackson Tyler shot a 73 in the third round, good enough to finish at a tie for 18^th with a 219, moving up the board four spots from his Monday finish at 22^nd. He jumped a total of 18 spots through all three rounds of play.

Anthony Marcinelli had his best 3-round outing of the season with a 4-over 220. The junior shot 72, 75 and 73 throughout the tournament to place him at a tie for 21^st.

Junior Jake Headrick was the only Eagle who had prior experience playing at Achasta after taking part in the Invitational as a freshman, placing in a one-under tie for 19^th in 2015. This time around, he finished +12 at 228 for a tie at 41st.

Tyler Parker finished his second event as an Eagle at 50 overall, closing out the third round with an 80 to finish at +15. He shot 71 and 80 through the first two rounds.

In his first individual outing of the season, junior Grant Bodie was 26-over through three rounds. He shot a 78, 81 and 83 to finish at 242.

"I was glad to see the team move into fourth place today," Wylie mentioned. "We will continue to try to improve on our consistency."

Fellow South Atlantic Conference team Newberry won the event after going 5-under at 283 in the final 18 holes, with an 862 total score. The Wolves were the only team to finish the Invitational under par. Rounding out the top three was Lander (+3) and Georgia Southwestern (+3), shooting 867 and 868, respectively.

Newberry's Carlos Leandro was the overall winner, shooting -8 through three rounds. He was under par at the end of each round.
