C-N lauded No. 20 nationally in Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches’ poll

NORMAN, Okla. – The Carson-Newman men's golf team opens up its spring ranked 20th in the nation in the first 2018 edition of the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches' poll, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Friday.

C-N moves down one spot from the last ranking released in November.

The Eagles opened the 2018 portion of the schedule with a fourth-place finish the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, tying Mount Olive with an 864 total score. The top-five finish marked the third consecutive for the team.

C-N is one of four South Atlantic Conference teams in the rankings. Newberry's 290 points placed them as the highest SAC school at seventh-place. Lincoln Memorial sits just two spots ahead of the Eagles at No. 18. Coker takes the last spot in the ranking at No. 25.

With 13 first place votes, West Florida is currently the top team in the nation. Florida Southern received six first place votes, placing them at second nationally.
