Eagles Finish 8th at Ralph Hargett Invitational

MONROE, NC – The Eagles men's golf team finished the Ralph Hargett Invitational tied for 8th following a 317 in round three, shooting 33-over in the two-day event.

Despite his highest round of the tournament in round three, Luke Stock led the Eagles, tying for 22nd after a 78-stroke performance in round three. Stock finished the event at 6-over. Stock had seven holes over par in the final round but shot two birdies and stayed at par the rest of the way.

Freshman Noah Cambridge tied for 30th after shooting an 82 in the third round to finish at 9-over. While it wasn't his best round, Cambridge overcame back-to-back bogeys on the back nine with four straight pars to finish the round strong.

Elliot MacGregor came shortly after, tying for 36th after posting an 80 in the final 18 holes to finish the event at 10-over. It wasn't the round MacGregor was hoping for after his impressive 67 in round two, but he finished the 18 holes strong with two pars on his last three holes.

Aidan Powter stayed put in 58th, following another 78 in round three. Despite a double bogey on hole two, Powter bounced back with five straight pars to find consistency in the round. Powter notched two birdies on the back nine to compensate for three holes over par. Powter finished the event at 15-over.

Antonio Farinella rounded out the Eagles, shooting an 81 in the final round to finish in 63rd at 16-over. Although hitting a tough stretch on the back nine with bogeys on four of his last five holes, Farinella birdied on hole 17 to limit the damage.

The Eagles will look to regroup and prepare for the Tennessee River Rumble on March 25th and 26th in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
