Eagles set for Dig and Dive Invitational

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- Carson-Newman beach volleyball hits the road for the weekend heading to Wilmington, N.C. for the Dig and Dive Invitational where they will take on two teams that they've seen earlier this season and two new ones.

First up for the Eagles on Saturday is University of North Carolina Wilmington at 10:30 a.m. The Seahawks are 4-5 on the season so far after taking down Saint Leo, Houston Baptist, Texas A&M Corpus Christi and TCU. Following shortly after, the Eagles will face rival Tusculum, and one of the teams they competed against at the Principia College Beach Bash just a few weeks ago at 2:20 p.m.. C-N's only win in that match came from Lauren Williams (Carollton, Ga.) and Montgomery Sauter (Columbia, S.C.) at the No. 4 flight. The Eagles are looking for redemption against the Pioneers and have the chance this weekend.

On Sunday, the Eagles will take on Morehad State for the second time at 8:30 a.m. after facing them at the Principia College Beach Bash as well. They were given a 5-0 loss by the Division I opponent. Since going undefeated in Indiana, Morehead State picked up the only loss on their record against #10 South Carolina to put them at 4-1 now on the season. The final opponent the Eagles will face is Coastal Carolina (8-5) on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
