"We are excited to play at home again," Carson-Newman head soccer coach Richard Moodie said. "We're looking forward to getting back on the field."

The Eagles are coming off a big 3-0 win against King last Wednesday. Freshmen Camilla Olsson (Trondheim, Norway) and Casidy Simonis (Pinkerington, Oh.) each contributed a goal, Simonis with the game winner.

Senior Maleya Garrison (Hendersonville, Tenn.) put up the second point for the Eagles.

C-N is 2-0 at home. The Eagles toppled Young Harris 1-0 on Sept. 10 with the winning goal provided by Garrison.

Garrison currently leads the team in goals with two, shots with ten and shots on goal with eight.

The undefeated Indians beat UNC Pembroke 2-1 in overtime Wednesday. UNC Pembroke took a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute. Catawba's Kate Wisner put up her sixth goal of the year with 15 minutes left to send the game into overtime.

Nine minutes into OT, Wisner scored the golden goal to win the match, her seventh on the season. Both of Wisner's goals were assisted Mary Kirkman.

The Indians defeated fellow SAC member Anderson 5-0 last Saturday. Kirkman opened the scoring in the first minute of action.

Last season, the Eagles tied Anderson 1-1 after two overtime periods. Defender Raquel Pimentel (Fla.), since graduated, scored off a cross from now sophomore Nora Logan (Charlotte, N.C.).

Edwards gave her team a one goal lead 12 minutes into the second half. Ten minutes later, now sophomore Gabrielle Gianeselli (Knoxville, Tenn.) sealed the 3-1 win. Both second half goals were assisted by Danna Stringle (Canada), now graduated.

"The players are up for the challenge," Coach Moodie said, "this weekend, and are excited to play another nationally ranked team."
